Zach Grist is the proud owner and founder of Piedmont Decks and Outdoor Living, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Since launching the business on February 16, 2023, Zach has been committed to building custom outdoor spaces that reflect quality, care, and craftsmanship. You’ll find the company at 4310 Enterprise Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27106—where dedication to outdoor living begins.
Zach’s love for construction started early in life, working side by side with his dad on deck projects. Those years taught him the value of patience, precision, and pride in a job well done. That same mindset continues to drive every project today. As he often says, “Details matter.”
Piedmont Decks and Outdoor Living was born from Zach’s desire to blend his passion for the outdoors with his hands-on building experience. His goal is to expand the company’s services across the entire state of North Carolina, offering decks, patios, and customized outdoor living features to homeowners who want lasting beauty and functionality.
Outside of the business, Zach enjoys hiking local trails with his dog and fiancée, soaking in the natural surroundings that inspire his work. He also stays involved in the community by sponsoring a little league team, providing uniforms each season as a way to give back.
